Fire Scape Design

California has enacted AB 3074 (2020) to obligate the California Board of Forestry and Fire Protection to adopt regulations mandating an “ember-resistant” Zone 0 — the first 0 to 5 feet around a structure — to be cleared of combustible materials and overly flammable plants. Under draft and proposed rules, within that 5-foot zone homeowners must eliminate wood mulch, dead or dense vegetation, and combustible fencing near the walls.

At AnandaScapes, Our Design Team has been educated on these Fire Protection codes, and Fire Resilient Landscape Designs, including a 32 hours course sponsored by APLD called Slow The Burn.  Our design team is recommended by the Fire Safe Council Kensington for Fire-Wise Landscape Design.  Our Design Team will help you achieve compliance while maintaining aesthetic value so your home is safer and attractive.
